Blogger Therapy

Recently about five minutes ago..I had my first session of Blog Therapy! Yep, you heard it right-Blog Therapy. Well, initially I created two post and waited for others to respond and nothing. Then I became addicted to lurking other blogs. I went to see a Blog expert to find out if true blogging requires immediate responses from others. It doesn't.
My purpose of blogging is to be reflective about my work as a Professional Developer.

  1. laura - i think you're on to something, what seems to remain a question for many would-be bloggers is a purpose. without really knowing what you want your blog to be, it's easy to be disappointed with the experience. i applaud your 'mission statement' and i'm fairly certain that if it continues to guide your blogging you won't be disappointed. i look forward to reading...and commenting!

  2. I find my blog has sort of changed from the original intent--at first it bothered me but now I'm okay with that. Now I'm spending more time responding to blogs than writing my own because I'm so intrigued by what I'm reading.
I too appreciate your mission statement-it is a reflection of who you are.

  3. I admire your reflection about the real purpose of blogging for you. I too entered this project thinking it would be an opportunity that engages me in reflective writing. At first, I didn't really expect interactions, but so enjoyed them when they came. Once in a while, I really want folks to read one of my posts because I want their input and think I could grow from their thoughts. So far, the posting had been more rewarding than the amount of feedback, but I hope that changes as we accustom ourselves to this form of interaction.

  4. On a comical note, one reason that I have noticed right away for blogging is to work on my spelling issue! Knowing that the world is going to read what I post, has made a difference in caring about my spelling! Wait one minute while I cut and paste this into a word document to check my spelling before I post....He He
